Conformity assessment of equipment

While implementing the corresponding directives of the European Union imposed in our country by relevant technical regulations, in 2001 the Technical Supervision Servise was the first control institution in Lithuania certified to perform the functions of the notified control body according to the requirements of the relevant regulations, following the orders of the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Lithuania and the Minister of Social Security and Labour of the Republic of Lithuania, and from 2004 the Technical Supervision Servise became the notified body in the country.

As the notified body, Technical Supervision Servise was assigned the identification number 1399 of the Directorate-General for Enterprise and Industry (European Commission).

Technical Supervision Service is a notified body, which performs the assessment of conformity of equipment and processes with these European Parliament and Council Directives and Regulations.

  • Construction products regulation (EU) No 305/2011
  • Pressure equipment Directive 2014/68/EU

  • Transportable pressure equipment Directive 2010/35/EU

Based on technical regulations implementing the requirements of European Parliament and of the Council Directives Technical supervision service performs the assessment of conformity of equipment and processes:

  • Technical Regulation “Lifts” (Directive 2014/33/EU):
  • Final inspection of electrical and hydraulic lifts in accordance with Annex V of the Technical Regulation “Lifts”
  • Unit verification (module G) of electrical and hydraulic lifts in accordance with Annex VIII of the Technical Regulation “Lifts”
  • Pressure Equipment Technical Regulation (Directive 2014/68/EU):
  • Module A2 (internal manufacturing checks with monitoring of the final assessment) in accordance with Annex 3 of Pressure Equipment Technical Regulation
  • Module B (EU type examination-production type) in accordance with Annex 3 of Pressure Equipment Technical Regulation
  • Module B (EU type examination - design type) in accordance with Annex 3 of Pressure Equipment Technical Regulation
  • Module C2 (conformity to type) in accordance with Annex 3 of  Pressure Equipment Technical Regulation
  • Module D (conformity to type based on Quality assurance of the production) in accordance with Annex 3 of Pressure Equipment Technical Regulation
  • Module F (conformity to type based on pressure equipment vertification) in accordance with Annex 3 of Pressure Equipment Technical Regulation
  • Module G (conformity based on unit verification) in accordance with Annex 3 of Pressure Equipment Technical Regulation

  • Transportable pressure equipment Technical Regulation (Directive 2010/35/EU):
  • Periodic inspections in accordance with section I.1 of Annex I, Section II.1 of Annex II, and Section III.1 of Annex III to Directive 2008/68/EC
  • Intermediate inspections in accordance with section I.1 of Annex I, Section II.1 of Annex II, and Section III.1 of Annex III to Directive 2008/68/EC
  • Exceptional checks in accordance with section I.1 of Annex I, Section II.1 of Annex II, and Section III.1 of Annex III to Directive 2008/68/EC
  • Reassessment of conformity in accordance with Annex III of Transportable pressure equipment Technical Regulation

Based on the Pressure equipment Technical Regulation (Directive 2014/68/EU) Technical Supervision Service also performs:

  • approval of welding and brazing procedures in accordance with Annex 1 of the Pressure Equipment Technical Regulation
  • qualification approval of welders, welding operators and brazers in accordance with Annex 1 of the Pressure Equipment Technical Regulation
